*On September 1, Relia, Inc. merged with KDDI Evolva, Inc. to form a new company: Altius Link, Inc.
Relia Vietnam is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relia Inc, founded in 2009. They are operating from 2 locations in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, Relia Vietnam specializes in outsourcing services both onshore and offshore. The Hanoi location mainly provides a Japanese offshore back office utilizing the Japanese-Vietnamese bilingual resources. Our 2nd location in Ho Chi Minh City provides a contact center for the Vietnamese market. There are abundant resources of Japanese speakers in Hanoi with the highest rate of Japanese language students in the past 5 years. Relia Vietnam is able to recruit skilled staff. To keep them engaged, we provided Japanese language lessons as skill enhancement through internal training.

Relia's Overseas Business Management Department oversees the language training of our overseas subsidiaries which started in 2019. Many of our staffs, especially in Vietnam, are foreign students who studied abroad in Japan. They are fluent in Japanese. The purpose of our program is to support the continued effort of Japanese language education for these employees as well as to improve operation and increasing loyalty among the group companies.

At the beginning, we have classes to prepare for certification exams including the JLPT class and Nissho Bookkeeping Level. Since both of the tests have been canceled by the test organization due to the pandemic, our test preparation classes have been temporarily suspended. Currently we are holding the Basic Japanese classes for beginners and the news reading for more advanced students. They can improve their Japanese skills as well as keep up with the news about Japan.

In addition to the group training, we have also distributed business Japanese materials targeting managers via email and conduct online tests. This will provide them with learning contents through practical business experience.

Up until now, we have about 40 employees enrolled in the program. Prior to covid-19 pandemic, some of our students in the bookkeeping class passed the 3rd level of the Japanese bookkeeping system. This will open up more business opportunities for Relia Vietnam as we have more qualified staff to do bookkeeping. Currently about 15% of our employees in the Japanese-related offshore support are JLPT N-1 holders, majority 60% and 25% are the holders of JLPT N-2 and N3 respectively. Relia is committed to improving the practical skills of our staff through Japanese education.
